Pale Garden is a small, slow game about tending a garden left to you by someone who is gone. You write in a journal each day, and the words you choose feed back into how plants grow, a kind of emotional procedural generation.

I wrote the growth simulation and the input pipeline; my collaborator wrote the journal prompts and the seasonal narrative arc. Plants are L-systems whose parameters are seeded from sentiment + topic vectors over your writing.

It was selected for IndieCade 2024 and quietly sold around 4,000 copies on itch. I’m proudest of how restrained it is.
